– Dining –
There are several fantastic places to experience island dining with friendly staff and wonderful settings. Virgin Gorda is mostly quite casual, but there are elegant choices, as well.
Top of the Baths
A short walk away, this famous restaurant serves Caribbean and international food from breakfast to dinner. Fish roti and sushi boards are matched by the sublime views over the Sir Francis Drake Channel.
Coco Maya (5 minute drive)
Without doubt one of the very best restaurants anywhere in the Caribbean. Friendly service, great music and awarding winning food in a lovely setting by a palm tree lined shore. The tropical dream brought to life. Reservations essential.
Bath and Turtle (10 minute drive)
A local favourite in Spanish Town with outstanding food and atmosphere, and hosted by Virgin Gorda’s wonderful Rose who makes sure that any night is a night to remember.
Leverick Bay
A longer drive to the other side of the island, this dock-side resort has three different and equally lovely places to eat. A casual Jumbies bar on the beach, a day time café serving local fish sandwiches and lighter dishes, and at night the beautiful top-deck Restaurant at Leverick Bay is a romantic and delicious way to end a day.
Sugarcane
Named after the original plantation upon which it sits, Sugarcane Restaurant in Nail Bay is a Virgin Gorda treasure that relaunched in May 2019 with new appeal and a fabulous menu of classics with a modern twist.
Hog Heaven
High above North Sound, Hog Heaven has the most spectacular view in the BVI. Lunch and dinner. Famous for BBQ ribs, chicken and pork.
Oil Nut Bay
The extraordinary Nova Restaurant is situated at the ultra-exclusive Oil Nut Bay Resort. Enjoy a long casual lunch at the waterside restaurant, stunning bar, suspended pool and luxurious lounging spaces, including overwater hammocks and daybeds.
Mad Dog
A short stroll from La Cachette, this is the closest place to relax and lunch. Great cocktails and served by the wonderful Edith.
